As a Spanish-American artist my work references a range of influences from the South of Spain and the US — living between the Mediterranean and NY has embedded in me an iconography of natural references, opposites that come together, providing a background for creative self-expression. I’ve had a career in the NY Advertising industry for 15 years and have been showing my artwork since 2010 in Europe and the US. Since my beginnings as an artist I have focused on creating what I call dynamic abstractions. With these I aim to emulate the processes of movement and transformation that I see in Nature. In that flow, in that circulation, there is a spirituality and equilibria between chaos and order, between life and death, between the individuality and the collective that I am very much interested in. Nature as a flow, always in transit, is the focus of my own creative search.

As an artist, I am more interested in the process than the result. The process allows me to explore, investigate, contemplate and learn about the transformations of things in the world, of the materials in the work, of the work itself in the process of realization.
I like to work with organic mediums (beeswax, sand, branches, roots, plants, textiles, paper…) exploring the physicality of materials and creating a dialog between my own cross-cultural Spanish-American references and Nature.
